Hi All, Thanks for the replies about the intacts question, I will wait to read the information from the conference.

This is a question about my other eye, had a graft on dec 9th 2004 and the last few days i feel like my vision has got worse, not sure if it is my imagination or not or whhich eye may be causing it, but i cant help but think my vision has got more blurred/ghost like. One of my concerns is lifting. The last few weeks has involved a fair bit of it as Im at university and evryone is in the process of moving out after graduating and so i have been helping lift and carry stuff, moving furniture etc. Ive still got all my stuff to go, but does anyone seriously think this could be the problem? Im strill in the middle of my dissertation and could r eally do with my eyes. I still have two running stitches in he has agreed not to take any out for another few weeks so i can get my dissertation written.The graft has been really good no probs so far.

Lifting can cause a change in eye pressure which can cause changes in sight.

Not suffered that problem myself when I had my grafts despite falling off my mountain bike and cracking my head open to such an extent the skull around the top of my left eye and bridge of my nose got pushed back a bit. Did absolutly nothing to the graft and the blurred vision was due to the bang on the head!

First port of call is to phone the specialist for advice. Your tutors will understand should your dissertation be posponed. Get the eye correct first.

If you are still busy with study, it could just be eye strain and tierd eyes.

For what its worth I had something similar 2 weekends ago...and it was all down to me lifting something......wihin 2 hours my vision changed as if someone had filled water in my cornea?!.....I think as Gareth poitned out ANY chance in eye pressure with a new cornea can cause a vision fluctuation...but my understand is that once the donor cornea is attached and more than 50% of stiches have been remoed you would have to exert some serious pressure for there to be a significant change in the eye............

Past injuries post graft include broken back, couple vertabrea wired together, seven broken ribs, lost count how many time broken my fingers and broken arm one!

Lost count numbner of times dislocated parts of my body! Think the grafts are the most reliable piece of my body left! Old coreas shot to pieces!

My philosophy is that if too much of a good thing is bad for you; then too much of a bad thing is good for you! Eat what I like when I like, usually high in chocolate content and I battle to stay at a decent weight. Usually under weight!

As the mornings guest speakers at the confrence pointed out to me, I seem to have spent a lot of time undoing the work of the guy that did my grafts and still they carry on.

Perhaps I should consider calling myself the Duracell Bunny?
