Hi Laura and welcome

You have come to the right place if you have questions.

Do you wear contact lenses if so it could be the fit needs looking at

A lot of people here suffer with dry eyes and also with hayfever/dust. So drops may help. There are a number of topics on that subject.

Best advice has got to be dont worry but get your eyes checked over. There may well be a simple answer and a soloution to why they are sore

All the best
Ian

I don't have anything really useful to add. GrandPa Clanger (geez I love that name!♥ ) is spot on. I just thought I'd pop in and say hello and hope you get it soted out soon.

While you waiting to se someone you could try using Systane if you can get it. Systane is a good eye lubricant.

my eyeballs sometimes ache- but i link it to eye strain- after a long day when my eyes and brain have been struggling to make sense of the confused messages...
i suppose the rule is- if it is sore- have it checked out.... if it is a sharp surface pain combined with extreme light sensitivity--- go to A&E

Just a wee update. Had my appointment on Wednesday and I have to be refered to corneal expert ? The person I see at the hospital said I am looking at either intacs or transplant, possibly the transplant. Said I should have an appointment in within 8 weeks for the Corneal guy, so will just need to wait see what he has to say. Thanks to all who replied to my post. :D

ok I know im being a bit of a pain now but, ive felt this in my eye for few weeks and hubby couldnt feel it or see it but i got him to have another look tonight and take a pic, its not sore, more of an annoyance and dont have it in my other eye, just wondering if this is something completely normal thats meant to be in your eye or not . Its the small spot type thing at top of eye, kinda on the inside of lid i think. Not something ive noticed ive had before so think its something new. Have got an appointment at Gartnavel Hospital on 16th, dunno if i should just wait til then or what.thanks for any replys in advance :D [

hiya, i am not sure what that is but i know my specialist often turns my eyelids inside out to look for 'lumps'. make sure they have a look at your next appointment..

Ive got an appointment at Gartnavel on 16th, hopefully I will get there ok with this weather, worried about it, my specialist normally rolls my eyelids just to have a wee look as I have a slight reaction to the lenses, but this is the first time Ive had anything like this. Sorry about all my moaning folks, feel as though I just moan on here and dont contribute anything, but to be honest I dont really know enough about the condition to help people. Thank you all again for taking the patience and time to answer what are probably quite silly questions lol
:D

Dont feel bad for always "appearing to moan", most of us at one time or other have probably griped/moaned about the condition on here as there is probably at least one other person who understands the frustrations and problems that comes with KC that you are suffering with. As time goes on you will probably be able to put your twopennyworth in and help someone else therefore returning the favours for all the advice you have received.
