I will be having my INTAC inserted into my right eye this Tuesday and wondering what to do with regarding showering and washing my hair. I don't want water and shampoo to get into my eye. What did you do? I am asking now so I have time to buy something.

you can buy dry shampoos, bariste seems to be the favourite. Available at all larger boots and other similar shops. I have used it but only for occasionaly one/two night camping trips - i generally need to wash my hair everyday.

When i had my CXL done last year, i got my husband to wash my hair for me, sat back to the bath, hair and shoulders over the bath, using the shower head. Alternatively just book in for washes at the hairdressers, excuse to pamper yourself

I was advised 2 weeks before allowing head back under water for CXL, not sure on timescales for Intacs, i will be interested to know the answer as i am hoping to have intacs in the near future.

after my graft i would tape the dressing on, then the hard eye protector thing, then tape a piece of plastic over the whole lot. I used nappy bag plastic as it is nice and thin- i never got a drop of water in my eye.....
but the hairdresser sounds like a good idea too... enjoy the pampering!
