UK Keratoconus Self-Help and Support Association

I don't know if this wonderful weather will still be with us in August, so our venue for a social meeting is one where we can sit outside by the canal if it's sunny, but where there's lots of indoor space (cafe and bar) if the rains have come by then!
So do come along and meet other people with KC and have a relaxing afternoon.
Date - Saturday 7th August. Time - 3pm to 5pm
Venue - Kings Place in York Road. York Road is the first turning on the left beside Kings Cross station. Kings Place is a large glass building some way down York Road on the right hand side, with cafe and bar on the ground floor and tables and chairs beside Regents Canal at the back. (Sorry, I'm hopeless at estimating distances but it's not far!)
Hope to see lots of people there.

Am I right in thinking you are talking about The Rotunder Bar in Kings Place. I will see you there, I will probably be there first as usual.

I didn't know the bar had a name - but there's a bar and a large cafe area with some very comfy sofas all on the ground floor. Plus the outside terrace. I'm sure we'll find each other!

I'll try and get over from Herefordshire, i'll be bringing my father as well because he's interested in what KC is and as i've explained before i've learnt most of the stuff i know about KC from this group

Hi everyone, im new to the forum im 20 and have keratoconus in my left eye and was recently diagnosed with mild keratoconus in my right eye which im pretty dissapointed about to be honest as i aways thought of it as reliable but i guess keratoconus isnt predicatable i just wondered what time the social would begin on Saturday as it would be very nice to meet others and exchange options and ideas as im returning to med skool in sept and the prospect of coping with keratoconus in both eyes seems daunting.

The social is from 3pm until around 5 (or however long people want to stay)! Do come along if you can - it would be good to see you there with all the other friendly faces.

Hi everyone!

We now have two lovely large KC signs which we can put on the table, so you will be able to find us! It shows our logo which is at the top left hand corner of this screen.

Really looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing some new faces!! All questions will be answered, so come along and share experiences with us. We all learn by talking with others who are dealing with the same issues.
