Re: C3-R Keratoconus
Hi Elizabeth
I can't really speak as to the cost of the treatment for you as i had it done in Ireland.
Your best option would be to find a clinic that offer the procedure and first see if you are suitable for the procedure.
The C3-R itself will not restore your vision either. It will only halt the progression of the KC and in some case there will be a slight reversal.
Most likely you will still need to wear glasses or contact lenses(depending on how advanced the KC is) after the procedure.
I had the procedure done 6 months ago, so if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Regards
Denis.

Re: C3-R Keratoconus
The C3-R on its own will not cure KC.
I have had the procedure done on one eye 6 months ago, as have a few other members on the forum here. It has stopped my KC and reverse it slightly, but i still need contact lenses to get clear vision.
I don't know the specifics of the person treated in the video, but for persons like ourselves with KC the C3-R alone will not cure the problem
It can be combined with other treatments such as INTACS.
My clinic offer a treatment called SimLC where C3-R is combined with laser treatment to first reshape the eye somewhat and then the C3-R stiffens the cornea.
But if the corneas are under a certain thickness(like mine) its not an option.
Regards
Denis
