Just a bit of advice, please

I have recently seen the optometrist at the hospital. I have had KC now for roughly two years and have been told it is fairly mild and my vision can be corrected with glasses. At my last appointment she did a very quick sight test and informed me that she wouldn't need to see me for another 18 months to 2 years. Is this usually the case? It seems a long time to not have my sight tested.
Please could anyone offer me advice on the usual time scale for eye reviews. I realise that this will vary from person to person.

Thanks in advance

Charlotte

Hi according to the NHS website http://www.nhs.uk/chq/Pages/1093.aspx?C ... goryID=157

That's about right. It depends on how your vision goes in that time period I guess if you need to go back sooner. Once fitted with contact I go once a year

I go every six months or more often if indicated.

Hi there!

I go to Moorfields every 6 months to a year, but this is because I wear piggy back lenses and there were a lot of blood vessels showing. They just like to check it often.

If your vision is ok, yearly to 18 months sounds ok, just ask for another appointment if your vision changes.

Hope that helps, love Claire X x X
