Kerasoft IC in the States?

Postby Hill85 » Tue 02 Mar 2010 8:48 pm

Hello again, can anyone confirm if the Kerasoft IC lenses are available in the US.
It seems as though we are so far behind compared to the UK. Thanks for any info
best,
Mike

Hi Mike,

No they are not ... yet.

I was lecturing in Las Vegas about these lenses in January at the Global Specialty Lens Symposium and there are plans to introduce them - but like anything else, such technology has to go through FDA approvals.

Thank you for your help.

Mike

Mike

Don't beat yourself, or your country, up over this. I'd rather live under the regime of a cautious administration than one that allowed everything and then said 'oops' when things went wrong. I am sure that, with the evidence that the manufacturers will produce, the FDA will approve this new technology soon.

In the meantime, there are plenty of other options that can be tried.

Every good wish

Andrew
