Hey all, just a quick question. For a while (since I was diagnosed with keratoconus) I have been suffering with mild depression. I didn't want to go down the old anti depressant root. However, I am finding things way too much at the moment and my eye condition is really not helping matters. One of my university lecturers recommended a "herbal" anti depressant called St John's Wort. I did some research and was going to try it. However, one of the minor side affects is increased sensitivity to light on skin and eyes. For a "normal" person there wouldn't be a problem, however, I was unsure whether I would be okay to take it, the last thing I want is my condition getting worse.
If anyone knows or has any experience of taking this with keratoconus please post a reply.
Thanks all.
PS got my 6 month check up at the hospital on Thursday, not looking forward to it at all.
