...................I found out last week that i have had a broken wrist for 6 years!!! Happy days!
I injured my wrist about 6 years ago and, at the time, thought it was just a sprain so didn't do anything about it. Throughout the 6 years I have had pain after using the wrist for things like washing my motorbike and decorating, cutting the lawn etc. So, as I had paid all my excess to the private health cover i get through work on my cornea graft, I thought i would get referred private to get them to look at my wrist. After xray and mri scan a broken scaphoid was diagnosed.
I have an appointment to discuss options with the best hand and wrist surgeon in Yorkshire. He is pretty sure only option will be to have a bone graft as it is such an old break!! Wonderful eh.
How the hell am i gonna be able to put my eye drops in with a wrist that has just had a bone graft? Oh - and i have to have a camera down my throat but thats another story!!
Great year so far eh. This must be the medical year in my life.
On a lighter note.....................

thats a tough one to deal with, guessing it is your stronger hand so to speak (right wrist if right handed?)
Just look at this way, after the recovery hopefully less pain and more usable. Getting through this will make you stronger as a person to be able to deal with whatever life throws at you

I was trying to make sense of them putting a camera down your throat for a wrist fracture and then I re-read your "That's another story"!
all the best with your wrist; hope it doesn't keep you off your motorcycle for too long.

Ouch!
You could try the Optrex Actimist which you spray onto the closed eye?

Yeah I'm in leeds too
It's not painful (the wrist, not leeds haha) which is why I have never had it x rayed before. It just aches when use it for anything strenuous (no comments please)
Seeing the surgeon next monday so all will be revealed. Most likely to be under the knife again for the 2nd time this year. Happy days!
