Re: "SO2Clear" contact lens and light sensitivity?

Postby milloaks » Sat 20 Mar 2010 10:06 am

Hi

New to the forum, I have been using SO2Clear for about 6 months. For me, the up side is greater wear time (12 hours against 8 for normal lenses) and much less problem with dust, well no problems with dust now! However, the big down side is that I am getting much greater light sensitivity and it is getting worse by the day. Light sensitivity for me has always been an issue - I have one KC eye and one cornea graft ex-KC eye.

In changing to SO2Clear I have also changed the solutions I use, so there are loads of variable that could be the cause. If anyone else has any thoughts on this (Sophie? hint hint) I'd be please to hear them.

Just for the sake of further information, I wear Comfort 02 Lenses. This link will tell you far more than I ever could.

My experience with them is really very good...comfortable to wear, easy to care for and I can usually wear them all day.

I'm not trying to advertise them or anything (I have no vested interest), just sharing the information...the more we have the more choices we can make.

SO2Clear lenses have an average diameter like to that of a soft contact lens, supplying splendid comfort for both initial and rapid adaptation.

Hi Sophie since you fir these type of lenses, is there any chance you can let me know how long the manufacturing process takes after trying on the trial lenses? I've been waiting nearly 5 weeks and I'm becoming in patient.

Thanks =)
