Important to read!
- this is just a link to a web site I don't think anyone of us needs to visit.

The user has been removed from the system but we can not do anything about the PM's and in addition we have had one report that on clicking the clink the users Forum Name and Password were flashed on screen before going to another site.

If you receive this PM please DELETE this PM imediatly without opening immediatly.

OR

If you have opened the link, please change your computer passwords, forum passwords and run an FULL Anti Virus System Scan on your computer as a precaution.

Thanks

Gareth

How about getting the culprits IP address and seeing where it is coming from as no doubt they'll be back!

I didn't read this post before opening the link but once clicking on it I didnt type the variation code, does this mean I need to change my password for just this site, or my password for other sites? thanks

I think you would be wise to run a virus check and if possible (if you are running a windows based system) run a check for spyware.

That, at any rate, would be the fist thing I would do.

As we know nothing about this link and what it might do it would be the safer option to change all your passwords.

Thanks Gareth, Unfortunately I only saw this alert after I went into the message. No flashing username and password on my screen so hopefully that means that you disabled this scam before I tried to activate the link!! Should I still run an antivirus check??
Thanks again and hope all well..
Michael

As per my earlier posts as we know nothing about this link it would be best to play safe and run a full antivirus scan and spy ware check on your PC and change passwords.

Pardon the ignorance, a girly thing I think. I too received the PM and it was opened and very quickly closed again after seeing the word viagra - I didn't think it would help my KC. No prompts for passwords or the like however, spookily the laptop has now changed screen colour to a nasty bright red which then turns pinky, purple instead of the usual XP default blue.
MNorton has run and find nothing, so is it just too clever for it or is the laptop just tired and old?
Have tried properties and change colours etc however blie now seems to be red! A real puzzle.

Susan (stressed, one eye and fed up!) x

I'd run a virus check, check for spyware and change passwords; better safe than sorry

Thanks, Andrew. Have tried that and it finds nothing. Still not convinced though. Have also changed passwords etc.
