ah ha, thanks for that yeah I don't know perhaps I am listening to the negatives more then the positives. This Dr Nabib I think knows what he is talking about, my GP told me he is the best eye guy in the region by far! Still keep thinking what if it goes wrong, and the newly found out pain aspect of it doesn't sound so good...

Hi Waltdek,

yes tomorrow (Tuesday) is the big day! Little nervous but I think I have come to the conclusion that the possible benefits out weigh the risks, and waiting to see would be more risky then being proactive about it, still that niggling feeling in the back of my head but that's probably natural!

My husband is having is cross linking done this Thursday and we are both as nervous as each other  . The main thing is he wants to know when he can drive again as this is his job.

We have found it on the NHS in East Grinsted which has been a help.

Hope yours has gone well today and will let you know how his goes!

Tiadinky

Welcome to the forum

Tell your husband we all hope things go well on Thursday: would you keep us informed?

It is really good that C3R is becoming available to more and more people on the NHS.

I wish you both good luck.
There is no observable pain during the procedure.
Tiadinky, it might need up to a month for the eyes to start settling, so it depends on the pre-op vision and individual healing.

Well had it done yesterday! The doc checked my eye today said it was ok. Got a awful lot of drugs to take but I think I have a system now. Written a bit more on my blog about it but probably won't have much more to say for a week or two after the possibility of an infection and when I know if its helped the eye or not!

If anyone has any questions about what it's like then I am more then happy to answer.
