Hi All
I gave a lecture last week in Manchester and a researcher into Keratoconus asked if knew anyone with keratoconus who would volunteer for a few measurements as part of a research project.
He is researching into the distortions (Higher Order Aberrations) produced by the keratoconic cornea and needs around three more volunteers. It involves around an hour and a half of time and having topography measured and also eye aberrations.
This sort of research is very valuable as it feeds into contact lens and surgery research with a view to improving visual results using wavefront technology. It has to be non grafted/non surgical eyes with minimal scarring as the idea is to see what the "normal" aberrations are of a keratoconic eye.
Anyone who is interested, please contact me and I will put you in contact with the researcher.
Lynn
