SOLUTIONS USAGE

Postby Graeme Stevenson » Fri 13 Mar 2009 10:36 pm

I am presently carrying out a small survey on solution usage which will hopefully reap benefits at the Conference in JUne.
As such I would be most grateful if you could please post on this thread which solutions you use with your contact lenses.
we are not interested in comments about how well they perform just a simple post on the solution you use.
eg BOSTON ADVANCE CLEANING AND CONDITIONING SOLUTION

Boston (or B&L, whichever the Pharmacy have in) wetting solution.
Amidose saline in little tubes, and big bottles of whatever saline the Pharmacy have in (currently Ami Pro). Tend to have a big bottle beside the kitchen sink at home and amidose tube in bag to take with me).
Fairy Liquid, or supermarket own label, for cleaning.
All these for RGP sclerals.
Also, when piggybacking, celluvisc, 1% version, for sticking d/d soft lens inside the scleral to put them both in together.
Hope this helps.
Rosemary

Amo Total Care soaking and wetting and the same brand cleaning fluid.
Protein remover tabs from tesco once a week.

All does pretty well for me. I use saline to rinse.

Hi Graeme,

Is this just for keratoconics or can anyone join in?

I wear softs and use one step hydrogen peroxide - usually Sauflon but occasionally Superdrug's own.

Are you interested in our dry eye preparations? You already know what I use for that, but for the record I use Clinitas Soothe during the day, Clinitas Ultra at night and Blephaclean first thing in the morning. I also use an eyebag every time I remember.
