Hello all
I had a cornea graft just monday 18th apr i am not sure if it rejecting My eye was quite painful when looking at the light but after 3 days my eyes was used to the light and didn't get the pain. I still have a tiny cloudy vision but that was the same when i first came out of the operation it hasn't worsen just stayed the same. I do get redness in my eye, like yesterday it was clearing up then this morning it was red but when i put my eye drops it seems to settle down. I am not to sure if its rejecting it's been 5 days since the operation. And its starting to really itch.I heard that is a good sign

Your symptoms are similar to mine, but itÂ’s only been 5 days since your graft. All I would say if in doubt get it checked out.

There is no point in you worrying and stressing yourself out. Did the hospital not give a telephone number to ring with any questions, if so that may be a good start?

I'd agree with Dipesh... It's not worth taking the risk, and I'm sure nobody on here would make such an important decision (is it rejecting or not?) without an examination.

If you're in the slightest doubt, get back in touch with the hospital, or visit your local A&E.

You eye will still be swollen, hey its only five days! As it heals over the next few weeks you will get slight sensation, not painful, which feels like a slight itching. This will be the eye healing and the sutures tightening. I had this on both mine when I had it done. The redness should go down over the next week or so. Don't worry about cloudy vision at this stage, the vision should slowly improve as the eye heals, but it will be distorted by the sutures. At some point you will have half the sutures removed, then you should see a huge difference. Don't expect the vision to be of any use until this point.

If in doubt you should always speak to your medical people.
