With the recent lens problems I am having perhaps I should get over there for a chat too. :D

It's right before my next appointment in Coventry for new lenses.

I'm going to try and make it this time. Had to cancel last time at the first minute

Somebody complimented me on my driving yesterday - they left a note on my windscreen "Parking Fine" which was nice.

Just like to thank Patricia for organising the Leicester meet it was a good turn out, great speaker and an excellent social gathering afterwards for coffee.

I look forward to attending the next one which is planned for January 2009 ( need to go to that and pay by debt to Pat's son for the coffee).

Note to self, it's no good being on the committee and going out with only 10p!

I'll second the thanks to Patricia for organising everything (and for the lift back into the city centre afterwards). :D

The talk was very interesting. Even though I no longer wear contact lenses it's good to have a better understanding of why I had such an awful time with them when I did wear them back in the 80's.

I also need to say thanks to Pat's son. I offered to pay for Gareth's coffee but ended up only paying for my own <blush>

Great meeting. Looking forward to the next

I too would like to add my thanks to Patricia for organising the meeting and to Patti for giving such an excellent and informative talk. It's only through increased knowledge and shared experiences can we, the patients, get better and more appropriate treatment. Great to meet you all too and sorry I couldn't stay afterwards.
