epethelium - not grown after graft
Had a corneal graft Monday 7th July - eye still hazy -I went to hospital today and a large part of the surface (epethelium) has not grown over. They inserted a bandage contact lens and they say it may help surface to grow. Has anyone had this as I am really worred!! Lens very hot and uncomfortable also.

Re: epethelium - not grown after graft
I can't help from my own experience, but I do know we all heal at very different rates. I do hope the bandage lens does the trick, even if it is uncomfortable. But please post your query on the general forum, where more people will see it (this is the bit of the forum dealing with forum queries, not KC queries!)

Oh gosh! What a bummer. ANd what a shock for you.
HOpe the bandage lens does the trick and you're AOK again soon. Good thing you got to the hospital, by the sound of it.
Best wishes, and do keep us posted.
