Hydrops healing period

Postby asylumxl » Tue 22 Apr 2008 7:35 pm

About 4-5 weeks ago I had a hydrops episode, my first infact, and it was pretty bad. Anyway, it's been a while now and I think the fogging is getting quite a bit smaller in the last few days. I'm just wondering is this usually what happens or is it more gradual?

Sorry, but this is going to sound like the standard 'get-out': recovery times for a hydrops episode vary!

If you are noticing an improvement, that is great news. What does your ophthalmologist say about how things look through the slit lamp?

SOunds very much like what happened with my first 2 (I've had 4 altogether).
COmplete white-out for about a month, then I realised that the edges of the world were starting to clear, and the fog retreating to the centre.
Hope the rest of it clears soon for you and heals over well.
These things do, as Andrew said, vary quite a bit, but your experience sounds quite a bit like mine so far.
Rosemary
