Hello from Newbie

I have been watching this forum for a few years now and have now taken the plunge and registered. I've found it very useful to dip into over the years to read about similar experiences to my own. I hadn't visited for a year or so until recently when I came on here and read about the cross linking technique - and on the back of some of the posts I've read about it, I've made myself an appointment with the LSRS to see what they can do for me. I'm due to go in a couple of week's time hence the reason why I'm sat typing this, I'm confined to the house for two weeks (apart from when my dear OH takes me out) as I can't wear my RGP's I'm doing a fairly good impression of Mrs Magoo at the mo (maybe showing my age here - anyone else remember the short-sighted cartoon character, Mr Magoo?) and can't drive. The only good thing is that when I view myself side on in the mirror I've lost at least 3 dress sizes

I would love to hear of anyone else's experiences of cross linking, intacs etc.

Yes, welcome to the forum. All the best with your appointment.

The INTACS procedure is available in England and Wales as part of the routine provision of the NHS, and CXL is undergoing trials in some places. It may be that you can have either of these treatments on the NHS, if you are assessed as a suitable candidate.
