vision with Soft Perms?

Postby Dave Dale » Sun 13 Mar 2005 9:22 pm

Hi Folks,

I have worn softperm for over 2 years now and they have given me good vision. I was fitted with rose K's but the comfort was less and the vision was worse, so I stuck with the Softperms.

What I have noticed over the past few month is that I have to move the lens with my finger into a place where I get best vision. It seems that it is only a single, small area of my eye that gives me good vision, when the lens rests elsewhere I get double, genreally poor vision, pull the lens down a bit and all is fine.

Is this due to different parts of the cornea working better than others or another visual issue?

Cheers,

Dave.

Dave,

This just maybe a fitting issue the lens sounds like it is decentering which is why you have to keep pulling it back.

It could also be because your cornea itself has changed shape (as it tends to do with keratoconus) and you need refitting.

I would make an appointment to see your fitter and get it checked out.

Lynn
