Thanks all. saw my doctor today- he says it is clearing well and still has a bit more to go. my vision has improved dramatically over the last 2 days, and the pain is ALL gone. I even drove to work today. I am ABSOLUTELY delighted!!! not even 2 weeks, and i feel fine.

Thanks drMac. i agree at how suprising it is. my doctor definately reiterated the down side- which i am glad he did. the pain lasted longer than i thought, but wasn't as bad as i thought (except for the first few hours). and i REALLY didn't think i would be able to drive at 2 weeks. the brain is a wonderful thing- the way it sorts it all out. my vision is about 6/21 but i did manage to pick up a letter on the 6/15 line.... cool hey! (thats a home test- so it probably doesn't really count) but i am stoked.
while i am typing this here, i am also looking on the web at the skislopes- i may still make my holiday in April!

Southern hemisphere ski centres are open through our summer. Have you ever skied in New Zealand?

Or at home in south Africa

Enjoy your vacation

Andrew

ps I still find it odd to think of having a conversation with someone in their summer/autumn while I am in our winter/spring.
