Me

Postby Anne B » Fri 21 Dec 2007 1:10 pm

Just thought i would pop in to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New year.

and also to give you a update on my grafted eyes.
not really sure how well the vision is going but it is sooooooo much better than pre op.
I had to be admitted to moorfields on Monday to have a stitch put back in my eye. It had come loose quiet soon after surgery and the graft was lifting and really annoying me.
I had the stitch put in awake and i was really brave (once i remembered to breath)The worse bit was being wheeled into thearte awake!! And if anyone else needs this done it didn't hurt a bit.
I have stopped taking the oral steriods now but my allergys flared up so i am taking Mycophenolate and Cyclosporin (both immune supresents)to keep things under control. Still using 4 lots of eye drops i look forward to the day when i have the same drops for both eyes (I don't ask for much)

Anyway thats me and like i said before hope you have a good christmas. And look after those mince pies!!!

Hi Anne,
It's really good to hear that everything is going so well (and congratulations on being so brave!) I hope you now have a great Christmas - and Happy Christmas to all you other forum users too.
