Am back in the same bad place
Woke up this morning at around 5am with sharp stabbing pain in my eyes, now it is a throb. I'm not photophobic which is a good thing but I went to Moorfields to check it out as after having seven months off on sick leave for an ulcer I am really worried about over wearing lenses again. I was told that luckily I don't have an ulcer (yet) but that my eyes are really dry and that I should get my lenses rechecked and reduce the wearing time. I have been told to take lubricating eye drops every half hour for this week and then hourly for a week.
It is rubbish, I have a new job and I am off on sick leave again Just when I am here trying to work out MS pain where I get shooting pains up my hands and am thinking about trying some new meds I have to worry about my eyesight again. Nothing is ever going right with my health. It's not that I am dying so I have no right to complain, it's just that I keep trying so hard to be positive and am giving myself false hope.
Hoping to go to sleep tonight and that tomorrow will all be ok.
Take care everyone, love Sweet X x X

Dear Sweet,
So sorry to hear about the hurdles you are up against. Hang in there, your post to me gave me strength this weekend with my worries re my daughter. At least we know we are here for each other, We cannot always solve your practical problems but sometimes emotional help is also invaluable.
Thinking of you and hoping you turn the corner very very soon
Love Libby

Hey there Sweet.
I am truly saddened to hear about your set back but I am comforted to know that you are close to somebody who knows very well how you feel and I am sure will give you a great deal of support
If you fancy a Wiener schnitzel to cheer you up, you know who to work on.

Please have a listen to my daughter, if you have a spare moment, on www.myspace.com/emmaparnes. She also wrote the songs.

Somebody complimented me on my driving yesterday - they left a note on my windscreen "Parking Fine" which was nice.
KC managed with softperm lens in left eye, Intacs (2/11/07) in right eye

Sweet......what can I say that has not been said, and that will help? I share your sharp, stabbing pains, and will see my specialist sometime next week. This whole thing is no fun.......and we all share that with you. You are in our thoughts.
Cheers.....and I mean it......Piper

Thank you so much for all of your support. I am still using Systane loads and hoping to go back to work really soon. Hoping that everyone is ok? Love Sweet X x X

Actually, Sweet, a little Glen Morangie, administered orally might help with some of the symptoms. And, alternately, some Dark Chocolate taken plain every hour or so can do wonders. Life is short, eat desert first.
