Bad days and intacts

Hi all,

Having one of those days...everything seems too much and the eye just doesnt want to play. Up untill now my right eye has been the far better eye, and I have relied on it for my vision with contacts in. Its now reaching the point where contacts are getting hard to fit and increasingly unbearable to wear. I have been piggy backing with a soft and hard lens but this seems to have stopped working as they just get stuck together or I cant get them in without getting an air bubble trapped.

I have just had my other eye grafted about two months ago and when I saw my consultant he asked if I had discussed intacts with my contact lens consultant. We have talked a bit about scelerals but I was wondering if anyone has any advice or experience of intacts?

thanks
Soph

Hi Soph, I can;t really offer much on the advic side of things.. since iv only recently been diagnosed.... quite a frustrating time... but i let off some steam to ma GP last week and seems to have rattled him to getting me an appt at the hosptal for an initial assessment in March...! Finally..! i have blurred vision and find it difficult at nite to seee!
I've read many postings and (same as me) most posts iv read seem to mention that the Right eye is better than the left! is there any particular reason why?! any stdies into this?!?!?!
i hope you start feeling better soon.;. from what iv read recently.. a few people have found sclerals pretty good..!
let us know how you get on!

Hi Shoayb, My right eye has always been much much worse than my left eye! I am sure there are others of us too - I should imagine its a pretty random thing. SUE
