pain in my left eye

Postby Linda Turner » Sat 21 Jul 2007 9:29 am

I often get a pain in my left eye. (I've got it now actually) I have always put it down to possibly having migraine type symptoms. But I never get flashing lights or feel sick, so I'm wondering now if it's got anything to do the Keratoconus.

As I only visit my optician once a year for my annual contact lens check, I always forget to mention it and never think it necessary to bring it up.

I'm wondering now if this a symptom of the KC. Does anyone know?

Could be, I get irrititation if I have over worn my lenses adnc an get headache.

Sometimes if concentrating too much without my lenses so straining my eyes too much.

No harm in making another appointment with optician or GP just to make sure it is nothing sereous.

Without a proffessional looking at you, all we can do here is speculate.

This is more than an irritation. It's quite painful. Bearable but painful.

I'll get some professional help.

Thanks.

Hi Linda,

I get a similar pain after a long day viewing my laptop screen whilst wearing specs. I'll also get the same dull ache after 6-7 hours wearing contacts.

Amazingly, if I don't wear my contacts or specs I'll develop a pain within minutes and it builds behind my right eye and moves down the whole right-hand side of my face! Put contacts or glasses on and it goes in a few minutes.

Rich
