Dear All,
The idea of this run is raise awareness of the need to carry donor cards. Now I know the money raised will go to Cystic Fibrosis, but we benefit too from people carrying Donor Cards.
Starting from the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon, Warwickshire, the sixth annual Donor Card Gran Turismo will be flagged off by legendary rally driver Paddy Hopkirk. For a £5 donation, Paddy will kindly autograph the rally plate, making it a prized collector’s piece.
Designed as the first step in rallying, the GT is a technical drive similar in content to a rally, but without the timing element. A tulip-style road book is provided with full directions, containing the distance between each junction and the overall mileage. Part of the route is dedicated to a jogularity section, where you are given directions via landmarks at given distances. A brilliant event and a fantastic opportunity to develop your navigational skills.
A route book is provided and is all you need to navigate the sections (road maps are handy if you are lost). Any car can be entered, no special equipment is necessary and no special licence is required. However, you are encouraged to carry your Donor Card.
The 2007 Donor Card GT will have special untimed driving tests and three separate driving sections, each leg approx 35 miles, all starting and finishing at the Heritage Motor Centre.
All crews on the Donor GT will have inclusive admission to the motor museum, and the Heritage restaurant will be open all day for refreshments.
The event will be sponsored by Masonic Lodges and Continental Car Tours, and can be viewed on http://www.continentalcartours.co.uk
Entry cost is £85 per car, with the proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. To enter, phone Continental Car Tours on 01304 380244 or email admin@continentalcartours.co.uk for an entry form and regulations

Hi Gareth,
Do I take it your competing?
Its not clear - does your car have to be of a certain vintage or is having a 2003 Focus with GPS considered unfair advantage?

Somebody complimented me on my driving yesterday - they left a note on my windscreen "Parking Fine" which was nice.
KC managed with softperm lens in left eye, Intacs (2/11/07) in right eye
