I have been looking around for a decent pair of polarised sunglasses and have found some bargains on ebay, there is also sunglasses that fit over prescription glasses. They are alot cheaper aswell

As with all purchases, buyer be ware.

E-bay is often used to sell fakes, so any that say they offer UV prtection may not offer the protection they claim.

When e-bay do find dodgy stuff being sold, they do take action. I have reported a few knock off DVD's which have my car on and between e-bay and the manufacturers of the proper DVD, swift action has always been taken.

So eBay is like a virtual street vendor or market trader? if it looks too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true!

For the things I get from e-bay, only ripped off once.

Purchased what was advertised as genuine Renaultservice CD's which listed all parts and maintenace stuff. They were actully copies with the lables hand written, clearly different to the picture which were of the originals.

If you're gonna buy them this way I recommend you check out the ones you wanat in a shop first. As lenses can offer protection and not actually be that dark.

For something like sunglasses I would definately only buy something you have tried in a shop first. I bought some which were totally useless as they were far too wide for my head!

MREH has a glasses shop in the outpatients dept on the left hand side as you walk in to the contact lens clinic.

I get my "tinted " shades from there. not too dark and with a reflective coating on them as well which is great for indoor use at work to deflect the flare from the flourescent lighting.

they are very reasonably priced too as they are not mrked up as much as on a high st shop and my kids think they make me look "cool " to . YAY

Hi being in the process of recovering from acute hydrops, yipeee, I will never take sunlight for granted again,I thought would share my view on this one. I bought a category three polarising pair from a highstreet chain called NEXT, not sure if Next is elsewhere as well, hope so for oither people. They were £15 and because they wrap around my face offer good protection to my eyes. It is honestly the best pair ive ever bought, and believe me ive had lots ! The frame is rubber so actually very comfortable, im told they look cool to. So if that helps anyone. I definately agree with if at all poss try sunglasses on and know what you're getting. Im far less light sensitve but i will never leave home without my trusty sunglasses again in a hurry.
