I think we are very lucky in the UK, with the healthcare arrangements. Some of our hospitals are old and creaking but we often forget to appreciate what we have...
This extra bonus with my employer is great. I have broken a couple of lenses now and although they are very cheap with our health service, it is still a pain to deal with the ensuing costs.
The cost of sclerals seems astronomic, if I lived in Australia, I don't think I could afford lenses. When you say rebate, is that what you get back or is that what you end up paying?

Hi Matthew

By rebate I mean the amount we get back. So for one scleral which is about $1200 I would get about $90 back and be out of pocket over $1100.

Not a great system but the KC community is working towards change.
