lens question

Postby donna » Thu 24 May 2007 4:37 pm

I forgot to ask the optom this! I have been given Alcon Unique PH multi-purpose solution when I got my lenses and was told to store them in the lens case in the solution, do i just keep topping up the solution or do I need to empty it out then refill? Also do I just keep the same lens case or change it?

Donna,

Best is to get a spare case which will probably come with a new supply of solution.

As you probably don't have one just yet, chuck the old solution and rinse the case with solution and refill.

Once you have a spare, rinse the one that did have the lenses in with cooled boiled water and leave to dry inverted on a peper towel. Then when you need to use it, give it a quick rinse with solution prior to filling and putting lenses in.

Never put lenses in a dry case as you risk scratching the lens surface.

Yes you do!

Throw away, rinse out and refill.

Hi donna

Perfect advice given so far.

Always use fresh solution, cleanliness is paramount for good clear vision and comfortable wear.
The last thing you need is an infection or little bits of "dirt" , "deposits" on your lenses causing you problems.

best wishes

mike
