Hard lessons that we all have to learn for ourselves. At least you have the comfort of knowing that you are not alone.

I have dropped lenses in odder places: on a train, in an aeroplane or (and this one is my particular favourite) at the top of a mountain!

It gets expensive,though

Welcome to the forum! Great advice you had which was all correct, sorry you lost your lens though. I have done this many times before I started to take more care!

Hoping that you get a new one soon and can start wearing it and getting great vision! Take care, Sweet X x X

Hi D and welcome to the forums.
A good investment for MC people is one of those self-seating, one-size-fits almost anything plugs. Get one from a travel supplies place and take it withyou along with lens kit.

You can normally tell if a lens made of gas permeable material is not clean properly, because it does not "wet2" properly. You try to put the wetting solution on, and it will shrink back leaving dry patches and then you get "misty" bits of vision when you put the lens in.
A lens that wets well and evenly is more likely to be nice and clean.
Other problems are caused by fit, and aslso at this time of year the dreaded hay fever.
Hope you get new, better fitting lenses and are AOK with them.
Rosemary
