Rejection episode

Hi all

Got some bad news at my appointment yesterday at Windsor. What I thought was only a mild case of photophobia is really a rejection episode. I am now on dexamethasone 0.1% hourly and mydrilate twice a day with another appointment next week. The hospital could only give me enough drops for the rest of the day and I had to drive around and try to find more supplies after 6pm with a long weekend looming. Of all places Tesco in Slough came to the rescue and had enough for two days and a promise off more in on Saturday.
On the plus side, we now have a poster in the eye unit at Windsor. Hope to see the usual crowd at the London social next weekend, if I am first there I will try and get our normal table.

Really sorry to hear that :( - lets hope the drugs work for you.

It was nice to meet you at the AGM (I assume you were the Pat I met anyway!!) - and hopefully I will be at the next social too.

Be thinking of you over the weekend..

Pat,

I'm sorry to hear this, although it's very common that rejection do get reversed, its more likely to happen early on after a graft and it's common to go on from this with out any problems. Rejection does not mean anything has "failed"... It just needs to be caught early.

Good to hear Tesco done there samaritain duty!! Just do everything your consultant has recommened for you and also I hope the drops will be available for you to pick up as planned, have a plan two for another place though... just in case.

Take Care

Sorry to hear that Pat,

Sounds like you caught it in time which is a blessing and I hope this rejection episode is soon behind you.

Take care, Pat. Do you find the mydrilate stings?

Pat

I am sorry to read about your rejection episode. I don't know how quickly episodes like this are reversed but I hope you have good news for us when we meet up next week.

Yes Pat A, Pat is indeed the Pat you met at the AGM.

Hi
Thank you everybody for your response and good wishes. Andrew, I have had no problem with mydrilate so far. Briget, as for timing, I am good at that. I had a hydrops in my left eye which brought on the graft on christmas day before last. See you at the social next weekend.

Hope your eye settles Pat. How long is it since your graft?
