I'm sure every time I tell someone I have it I pronounce it slightly differently

Thanks,

I say "kera" as in kerry, "toe" "cone" "us"

Don't take it as Gospel! Just how I say it. And I also wish it was easier to spell!

Vision: Other

Hi
It would be brilliant (in a good way) if we could find a Celeb to help make KC more understandable that would really help
Anyone know anyone ???

Since we are talking about celebrity and pronunciation...
Whenever I sat I have keratoconous, most people say, "Wasn't she in Atomic Kitten?"

Maybe we should ask Kerry if she could publicise the condition for us?

Hi Delyth, I have been thinking along the same lines for some time now and the only star I have been able to uncover so far is Mandy Pantinkin who is an American actor.

He appears to have had a successful graft some years ago and I think did publicise KC in the U.S.

I pronounce it phonetically.. exactly as you would if you sounded it out. That's how all the optometrists, surgeons etc here seem to say it also.

I'm just wondering... how come you would say kerry when it's kera?

I figure as long as people understand what we're talking about then it's all good ;)

I meant that how I sound rhe "ker" is the same as the "Ker" in kerry. Couldn't think how else to describe it!
