Sarah - the only time I had a corneal ulcer (caused by getting a bit of grit under my lens and not dealing with it quickly) it had healed after a week. So they don't always take a long time to heal, and I hope yours clears quickly too. We're all thinking of you and hoping you're out of the wars very soon.

Jay,

With stain in an ulcer shows up very green, more than with an abrasion. It does look something like a mouth ulcer without stain if you can see it. Mine was very large so it was seen with the naked eye which is why it took so long to heal.

Take care Sarah :)

My own experience of a corneal abrasion was bad enough. Thinking of you and hoping things will improve very soon.
Take care
