When I moved from Glasgow to Port Glasgow, I took my old colleague ice skating. No sooner was he on the ice than he fell and broke his ankle!
We went to the Southern General where they took his particulars:
name
age
address
occupation: Roman Catholic Priest
marital status? I explained to the clerk that the Pope did not encourage priests to marry. She blanched white an immediately started to apologize.
Hope you manage to stay upright.
Oh yes, and the answer about christmas lights and eyes: yes they hurt and they muddle me up, I suppose because there are so many sources of light
All the best
Andrew

Some can bother me. It depends on the sort of lights and if they're flashing. For some reason flashing lights are a real problem to me. I hate it if I'm sat in a car in a queue of traffic and the car in front has its indicator permanently on. I'm never sure if that's a KC thing or an Ali thing - for instance the flashing and moving Christmas images on here bother me but no one else has said anything so I take it that it's a 'me' thing.
There's a bright spotlight on a Christmas stall up at our local shopping centre that gets me right in the eye. Ouch! The last time I walked past I had my head down to block as much of it as I could with my hat and a hand held over my eyes to block the rest. My youngest had to grab my arm and guide me by it. She pulled my leg something rotten about me looking like I was up to no good and trying to avoid being caught on the cctv cameras.
