An interesting, well-balanced article.

It does seem (at first reading) that this doesn't affect us in the medium term, but who knows the eventual outcome of this? Using stem cells to grow a totally new cornea of the patient's own tissue?

Cloud cuckoo land at the moment, but who knows...?

I think eventually this will happen as we are making advanced now at an alarming rate in stem cell research and tests.

If we can now create mini kidneys from stem cells, than Id prbably put a wager that within 10 years we will be able to create virtually any tissue....at least in test cases....but lets see
