Disability Allowance
I've had KC for over 20 years and ignored it as much as possible. However since becoming a mature student people keep telling me that I might get some disability allowance because of it. Whaddya think?

hi,
i claim DLA for my daughter and found the forms for her a nightmare. I'm not sure whether it's the same for children v adults? take your time to fill in the form, break it into sections and think about what normally happens during the day. Get someone to look through the forms as well as it can be easy to miss what the form is asking for. i think that there's a helpline which is helpful
good luck. debby

As a student I get DSA (disabled students allowance) it isn't a money grant instead it provides equipment to help wih your course eg computers with special software or a dictaphone to record lectures. It can also be used to provide funding for notetakers in lectures etc. See this link for more info.
