Diving question

Hi All

I am off next month to Australia. I can swim with swimming goggles and although my eyes sting a bit afterwards there's never any long term effects on my hard lenses.

I am interested in trying to start diving out there but don't know whether this is possible in hard lenses. I can't really see much without my lenses (eyes are between 9 and 11) and obviously glasses are limited use for any length of time.

Has anyone out there tried diving or am I limited to snorkelling ?
