Has anyboby any thoughts on substitutes for miraflow
i have been useing it for some years and now it is not available. I have tried other cleaners and such things as quattro.
I used to use miraflow plus saline plus amidose or other make of same, with out any problem.
I am having problems with comfort and vision.
Is anybody out there having similarproblems ?
Any thoughts would be gratfully recieved

I use Bausch & Lomb Boston Advance solutions for cleaning and also their lens condisioner and wetting solution along with the protein pills and the Bausch & Lomb saline for sensitive eyes. Then twice a day I use lubricating eye drops (Systane)

I have found this to be the only way to get long comfortable irritation free lens wear.

I always used Total, soaking and wetting fluid. They had it in my local branch of Tesco so I did not have to go hunting for my supply.

When I stepped up to a scleral, I began to use preservative free saline, with total as the cleaning fluid.

Yes, welcome to the forum David.

As I understand it, Miraflow will be back with us again soon.

It was away because of manufacturing problems, which have now been dealt with.

Thank you all for your replies
In addition to the miraflow problem I think I may also have problems with a damaged lens
This problem has been masked perhapes by the miraflow saga
I shall be going to moorfields to have the lens checked
I have spoken to someone at CIBA, who tells me that they will restart production soon
I think in part this may be due to the ear bashing they have had from Ken Pullum and others from Moorfields
lets hope CIBA mean what they say

My eyes are uber sensitive so my optometrist gave me a multi-purpose solution called Regard, it works great, its preservative free, and helps to hydrate the cornea and allow it to breath.

I'm a Total Care girl, myself. I use their cleaning and soaking solutions, plus green bottle Amo Lens Plus saline (it's preservative free) and once a week I sterilise the lens with an Ultrazyme protein remover tablet dissolved in the saline overnight.

Works well for me (actually better than Miraflow, I'd say).

I am useing scleral lenses, I don't know if everbody with KC has scleral's
So this may affect the advice
