I am happy to register and be a member of this very positive site.
I want to thank all who contributed to create this very helpful
location.

I have been diagnosed with KC in my right eye 5 years ago, the best vision with normal glasses is no better than 60% so I start to use contact lenes to get 90% vision.

My doctor has advised me to use contact lenes in my lift eye also (110% with glasses),
but my vision with contact lens is (90%), moreover I have double vision (I see every thing with shadow).
what I should do now? I paid 500 Euro for these lens!
I went to anthor doctor and made a test for my eyes to discover that my vision in the lift eye is down to 70% with glasses, so I stopped using my contact lens immediately, after 10 day (which is today), I went again to the same praction and I got more that 100% vision in my lift eye with glasses.

I need advice please I will be Dr Eng in July, and my vision is
very important for me. I am planning to try K Rose contact lenes
for both eyes, because I have read that using contact lenes can
help to slow down KC.

Good to hear from you in Germany. I studied in Salzburg and have been a regular visitor to Bavaria.

It is hard to know how things work in other EU countries. in the UK there is often a contact lens clinic in the hospital, so that optician and opthalmologist work closely with each other.

i should guess that if this facility is not available to you, what you need to do is find an optician who understands KC and is aware of the range of lenses available.

meantine new surgical techniques continue to open. In the UK, Intacs have now been licensed, although this procedure is only available (I think) in Newcastle and St Thomas in London.
