Following on from the talk we had from Moorfields Principal Optometrist Aneel Suri, about innovations in contact lens design (you can watch the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ6703ue5ak&t=239s or read a summary of the talk in our Summer 2024 newsletter)
there's news that these are also now available at one of the practices on our KC-friendly optometrists list. https://www.uknewsgroup.co.uk/pioneerin ... -patients/
Like all innovations, I guess it will take a while before bespoke lenses become more widely available, and cost may inhibit hospital contact lens departments providing them to more than a few patients. But this certainly offers hope for the future for those with particularly irregular corneas.

Hi there

Do we know any other providers who offer this or whether any hospital departments plan to use this technology?

I’m also wondering what the difference is between this, eye print pro, and Scleral Profilometry in terms of when each would be used and how effective they are.

Tompkins of Northampton is the only one to let us know they offer these lenses, but of course there may be others. At this stage, I don't know whether any hospital departments apart from Moorfields plan to use them. I'll certainly let people know if we hear any more.
As for your second question, that's way above my pay grade!
