PTK Assisted Crosslinking

Afternoon all, hope everyone is keeping well. I was doing some reading earlier and came across this article (please accept my apologies regarding links, I’m useless at these forums!) and it mentions this PTK assisted crosslinking which is looking promising, albeit from a google search to various related articles, more data is needed before conclusions can be drawn. It is suggesting that this is akin to a “second generation” of CXL and has potential to improve visual acuity along with stabilisation. Appreciate that it wouldn’t be for everyone, given the joyous nature of KC but if what it hints at is a possibility then this could be a step forward for some people.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Hi RedOnion,
I don't know if you're on our mailing list for newsletters, but this sounds to me very similar to the procedure described by one of our members in the Spring 2024 newsletter (starting on page 2) https://www.keratoconus-group.org.uk/in ... wsletters/
