Better glasses for KC?

Postby Anne Klepacz » Sat 25 Feb 2023 3:45 pm

This research was delayed because of Covid, but these early results are encouraging.

Sounds very promising. My ophthalmologist had a belief that at some point technology and research would permit the use of glasses to correct HOAs etc. Let’s hope it’s not a false dawn!

Not been on here for a while but popped on to see if there was any update to this. How would we know if further research has taken place? I'd love to be able to wear glasses out and about again.

Hi Cripps,
The KC Group will keep in touch with Dr Abass and post any further updates on the website. This was the first stage of the research, involving just a few cases to see if the idea was feasible. Projects like this tend to take some years and, of course, require further funding to take them forward. We hope the research will continue.
