Subconjunctival haemorrhage anyone?

Postby gsward » Fri 07 Oct 2022 4:00 pm

Does anyone else suffer from subconjunctival haemorrhages? I've had three this year. They are generally not considered an 'issue' by hospitals and do not require intervention but can be alarming the first time.

I don’t think it’s something I’ve ever had, did have to Google it but certainly doesn’t seem to be anything I’ve suffered.

I think the first time you contact the hospital one way or another. Then you are more relaxed about it. It looks like you've been poked in the eye! I've certainly no pain.

I'm interested to see how common they are, and if you are, are you plagued by them?

Is there any indication what causes them that frequently?

There is no one clear specific cause. Some websites list "predisposing factors" which might be a more helpful interpretation. Like this one.
