Space cadet help please!

Postby Green » Tue 20 Sep 2022 1:28 pm

Hi, no wonder I've been in pain, I have filaments which were pulled out today in A&E.
I remembered that you've had them.
I would be most grateful if you could share with me your knowledge on this condition, implications you're aware of.
I'm terrified.

X

Anne v kindly reminded me of your thread I'd forgotten about, where autologous serum was a game changer for you

Green,

Sorry I can’t offer any help but really hope you can get somewhere with this. It sounds horrible :(

Have they explained why? Have you had them before? I can see they can be triggered by surgery so hopefully as things settle down they will begin to subside.

Dry eye G, surgery, drops also dry.
Hurting a lot again, if same tomorrow I'll have to get checked, they said go straight to A&E with pain. I'm pretty anxious after 2 consecutive days of removal

only just seen this sorry, basically they are a total bane of life, they are ruddy painful, but the 1st time you feel pain get to a&e n have them removed with numbing drops,

from experience a cotton bud method of removal is less painful n traumatic to tweezers.

I was experiencing them a few times a week for about a year n a bit as bits of my cornea n other bits of my eye fragmented but since starting the autoglous serum drops back in March I have had ONE yes ONE episode of filiments,

you have my sympathies n empathy as the pain is worse than that of graft rejection and ulcers combined.

their is no reason nor rhyme for them, but yowch they hurt, message me if you need x
