Erosion is v painful, mornings are a bit easier but it's a glass-in-the-eye sensation rest of the time. Ointment helps a little earlier but it hurts more into the afternoon/evening.

Had further re-bubbling, front surface scrapped, a suture, bandage lens under sedation and nerve block. Block works well, but without LA, the pain continues to be severe. I wonder why the cornea doesn't respond to systemic oral painkillers (even Dihydrocodeine), maybe because it doesn't have a direct blood supply? Next week I'll have bandage lens removed, find out if the front surface is healing, whether the back surface has reattached or it has to go to DSAEK.

Having difficulty with other eye, my RGP, lens 'sticking' to cornea, hard getting it out, flooding it with hypromellose, keep scraping.
I'm wondering if it's because my bad eye is closed most of the time so I'm holding my lens eye differently?
