Living with keratoconus

Postby AlizaEiliyah » Fri 08 Oct 2021 10:49 am

Hi I’m new in this group, I’ve had keratoconus for 7 year had cross-linking in both eyes 2015/2017 was okay with hard lens but last 3 years I’ve become intolerant to them, glasses don’t do much apart from given me Migraine and stain eyes. been really depressed as I’ve got 2 young children and not able to do much as I have other health conditions.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I've moved your post to the general discussion forum where more people will see it. What sort of lenses did you have? There's several different lenses that can be used for KC, including hybrid lenses, puggy backing (wearing a soft lens underneath a hard lens) and the various sizes of scleral lenses. Did you try any of those? Is your KC still being monitored at a hospital clinic? If so, do ask about these options. And if you're no longer being seen in clinic, it would be worth asking your GP to refer you again.
