Made a mistake

You know how eyedrop bottles look very similar..last night I grabbed out of date steroid drops instead of hypromellose as I flood my eye before and after inserting/removing my RGP.
I didn't realise till a couple of hours later.
I'll discard that lens as I know lenses are affected by steroid drops.
I have no symptoms of any kind, no discomfort, but anxious because my eye had a massive overdose of steroid drops.
Do you reckon it's OK?

One dose of steroid is unlikely to have any lasting effect on you or the lens. Normally in use steroid eyedrops (dexamethasone) are used at least once a day and often many times more to be effective. Is this the same eye you are waiting for a cataract?

No this was my "good" (old grafted) eye with RGP.
When I say 'flood' I mean squeeze hard on the bottle twice, eye awash, so far greater than even hourly drops

I suspect the excess would flood away and not be absorbed anyway.
