Finally, I have got an appointment for KC tomorrow at Moorfields. As I said in my previous message, I'm new in the UK and it's going to be my first time at the hospital (I was diagnosed with KC 3 years ago(when I was 25) in my left eye but not in the UK).
I'm quite nervous about it. If you have any advice for me, I'd be really happy. What should I ask the hospital for further monitoring or if you have any recommend questions/important points during visiting?

Re: First appointment at Moorfields
I'm not satisfied. I had taken all previous scans to show during the appointment. They scanned my eyes but didn't compare my previous topographs. It took 15 minutes all scanning and checking, no any information. They also said they booked a scan and monitor appointment for 6 months later and a contact lens appointment but I've not received any letter yet.
I went to a private optician in January to monitor my eyes in London, they looked at my previous scans and they said that I needed CLX on my right eye (my right is a better one). I'll probably go private again.

I'm sorry it wasn't good for you.
I've had mixed experiences with Moorfields, from truly wonderful to traumatically awful, I'm sure the same is true of any hospital.
Did you ask them about CLX?
Maybe still keep the next round of appts before you junk them and go in with prepared questions

If your next appointment has not arrived a week after your visit you can phone the appointments booking centre on 020 7566 2357. Always best to quote your hospital number. If you have trouble getting through on the phone email can be a better option moorfields.outpatientbookingsbc@nhs.net
