Results of the study of CXL in children

Regular readers of our newsletters will know about the research into the effectiveness of CXL in children (see www.keratoconus-group.org.uk/index.php/newsletters Autumn 2017) The results have now been published and you can see the announcement and read the full report here -

It's great to have evidence from the trial that CXL is effective in this age group (10-16) and the young people will be followed up for a total of four years (the current results are for 18 months post treatment) to see whether their KC continues to be stable over time.
