Night Vision

Hello !

I started to think that I actually see much darker than it is really when it is night.. Just wearing glasses, not contact lenses...
Has anyone experienced that and tried to wear lenses and saw some difference?
I know that lenses could help with lights (halos, double lights) , but not sure with "dark vision" at night..
Also car lights makes me very "blindly" and uncomfortable..

Dont know if RGP lenses actually help with that all or not?

Thank

Hi I think a lot of kerataconus patients have problems with night vision and as you mention halos around lights can be a big problem. I wear ridgid gas permeable lenses and still struggle with motorway driving at night so try to avoid it if I can. You may find lenses improve your night vision so may be worth a try. I’m sure others may have had a similar problem and will offer some more advice.

An early cataract can also contribute to night vision problems.
